Two days ago i posted about maybe getting a sailfin tang. Well yesterday i went and got him. He is about 5-6" and was $50. His colors and markings has improved drastically since i brought him home. Im really worried though cause i think he might have ich . Here is a pic. Sorry its so blurry. the spot is on the bottom of his anal fin. the spot behind the eye is just a little scar.

As long as he/she is eating good, you shouldnt have a problem. It could just be a little stress from the bagging, transfer and unbagging. He will be fine.

i fully agree with luna. as you prbably know, tangs are prone to getting ich mostly from stress related things. as said, as long as its active and feeding well, it should work its way out.

A cleaner goby does a great job of maintaining my Tangs health. He is always cleaning my Sailfin Tang. I consider him an essential element in my tank.

My sailfin goes for a cleaning several times a day. A cleaner shrimp or goby is a must with tangs IMO.
