    those pincushion urchins grow FAST and they sure will pick anything up they can....they are ALL over the place down here in the gulf...ALL over...lol

    I have been noticing that, they like to pick up the rock on the bottom and wear them around like clothing but for the most part so far they have been satying on the rock work and the glass. How big will they get?

    i see them in the wild bigger than softballs regularly

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that linckia is likely doomed in your system. They need very large (100+ gallons), well established (1 year+) tanks to survive.

    Based off your pictures, your system only looks to be a few months old.

    Oh wow I thought I did enough research on them, I did know that they needed an established tank, the tank is actually older than it looks my father in law had it for 3 years before he had to move and gave it to me, but thanks for the advice and I will def look into doing something with him.

    Totally agree!! Extreamly hard to care for!!!! Learned it the hard way....

    agree about the star...i wont even put them in my tank cuz they are so hard to care for

    Well lets hope and pray, I feel better with him in my tank than the LFS hopefully things will work out. I out side my window for returns on him so lets see what happens any ideas?

    Ideas are limited simply due to the fact no one really knows what the genus feeds off of with any certainty.
