Ok, so i cant let this kid get picked on, everyone has different advancements in this hobby, some do more research and understand everything and can have the prettiest tank in one month then most can have in a year, now im no expert but i got an anemone at 3 months in my tank, and guess what, its still alive and better then it looked at the LFS, so who knows this guy could do awesome!! you never know a persons skill level by a forum, unless you personally know him and if he is responsible and takes care of it, then he should be ok, just check your parameters and adjust accordingly like said before, they do like excellent water conditions, and A TON of light but if you've got it you should be good do go, but once its in your tank, shut the power heads off and let it get its foot in the sand, or attach to a rock and slowly turn the power heads back on, one every 2-3 hours just so it can adjust and not get stressed!

All be the tank a bit young for a nem... (params swing alot and most tanks stable out at a year give or take) Congrats!!! :D. I really wanted a rose, but settled for a GBTA.

    Just watch your params well!

yeah man im not trying to be a dic$..but i would return it as well..nems need experienced care, and they do things people freak out about and alot of times its just normal..basically more people get them and then they are super stressed because it can die and crash your tank..i see alot of people get out of the hobby because they rushed getting a nem and didnt care for it the right way and then it dies..there are alot of experienced people on this thread giving you advice, and if you want a clown host then get a toadstool..clowns love them and you can get some cool color ones..just trying to help man and dont wanna see things go the wrong way..but tell us about your setup and you may be able to provide it with what is acceptable for a nem..and go from there..

the main thing about waiting is because the longer you wait the more experience we have with our tanks, and since nems can poison the tank the more experience the better..and me and you agree alot so i was just posting up for other people..

i have a buddy that put a nem in a tank not long after it cycled and has been living for years, so yeah not every nem dies in young tanks..it just alot of times, young tanks have less experienced owners..you get what im saying..were on the same page

IMO its not actually about "experience" you can read up for a whole day, and learn enough to take care. what really causes the deaths are the parameters swings, which yes have to do with experience, but you get what im saying
