    Over the many years I've checked out 3Reef a few times. I've been working on some new technology and figured it was time to join up and share :) This is a specialized coating technology that should inhibit the growth of algae, and in particular, coralline algae. Here's a couple pics of two RW4 powerheads I've been running for about 4 months. One is uncoated and the other has the coating on it. It's looking promising...

    very interesting! I'm thinking a lot of reefer would be interested in the prohibition of green algaes (nuisance) as opposed to coralline algae.

    I would think that most of those nuisance algae grow on the rock rather than pumps and glass etc. So this isn't a solution for that. But nuisance algae such as coralline growing on pumps and glass and skimmers etc is also a big problem that this could address.
