I have just setup my new 55 gallon reef tank with a 212 watt aquaticlife t5. What type of corals can I keep and what type of corals will not receive enough light from my setup? I am window shopping at the lfs until my tank is finished cycling.

Look into UVL and Giesemann bulbs in that order. Those are the best that I know of.

Reefgeek.com carries UVLs and Aquatic Art Techologies can get you either if you asked I am sure. PM Tangster or That Guy. They represent AAT.

You should be in pretty good shape with that setup. The reflectors are pretty good, and the 55 is not that tall. Even with poor bulbs, you should be in good shape for softies and lps at the bottom and sps in the top 1/2 with good bulbs, you should be able to keep about anything you want in that tank.
