My coralife 4 blub light needs new ballasts. The lights come on when they want to. Would it be cheaper to replace the ballast cause they are really hard to find or just buy a new light. If its better to get new light does anyone know bout the lights on ebay if they are anygood or just trash
    Thanks

are you certain its a ballast issue? miccmag

sometimes salt creep/ moisture gets into the switch sockets and can conduct power to the lamps even when the switch is off

I agree. The switch cuts the power to the ballast. So It's impossible for the ballast to turn on, unless the switch is shorting on.

Same as above. Sounds like the switch. Much cheaper than a new ballast eh?
