Hi, I've got a Boyu tl550 about 8 months or so with a clown, goby, 6 line, cleaner shrimp and just added a BTA. The BTA was from my LFS and had been kept there for about a month before i bought it, at the LFS it looked well and had a maroon clown hosting it.

I bought the BTA and introduced it to my tank, within a couple of hours it was happy, inflated and looking good. it attached itself to a rock then walked along to the underneath, sometimes it was inflated others deflated.

I noticed a gash in the foot of the Nem and looked it up and began to worry, it doesn’t cling to the small slices of fish or misis shrimp I’ve tried to feed it with.

I moved it because i thought it was on its way out, but it reopened and filled out but has since moved back to the underneath of the tank a few hours after this picture.

Do you think i should leave it and risk the contamination of death with crossed fingers or give it a procaine burial if no chance of survival?

    Rich

cuts in the anemones foot are almost always fatal to them. if you have a QT tank i would stick it in there WITHOUT any medicine and see how it goes. sorry.

gexx is right, for now just se how it is, if it starts to disintergrate whip it out. I reckon the lfs probably tore it, id be tempted to take it back.
