On top of the Reefpets Auctions I got, I also picked these two up from the LFS.

Chief wanted to show off the new Galaxea to all of you. The instant the camera was raised to the tank - he shot right in so that he could get in on the photo op.

This morning I was delighted to see that a couple of sweeper tentacles had found their way out and were patrolling a bit, just excuse the micro bubbles in the one shot, not to mention that it is hard to capture an image of a sweeper tentacle.

    thanks for looking!

....and yes having been warned about the fact that these guys need space, I made sure there was plenty of open area around the Galaxea. Having seen the sweepers this morning, I was glad i took the advice i was given!

Nice new corals! I love galaxias but they don't mix well in a fully packed sps tank  We've got one on the bottom of our tank but are looking to sell it.

Very nice. I also started with a small galaxea but it has grown allot. I've had to move corals away from it.

you can also target feed it if you like although its not required, it will take the food.

I had heard that they would accept food - how might you suggest I approach that? A small syringe with mysis?

That would work, I used a glass eyedropper and just squirted the food into each polyp. Mine would try to sting the dropper and it will leave the little green stingers on it. Don't worry though they grow back.

Thanks all for the replies :)

The flow is a fairly brisk one - so far so good.
I have 2 Koralia 2's in there and it has taken a lot of shifting and tweaking to get the flow to where everyone was pretty happy AND I am able to keep the algae at bay.

I will keep watching closely though - It does not take too long to notice a coral that seems to be unhappy with the flow.

I look forward to trying to feed this coral. :)
