my question is i have to give this guys supplements like iodine, Strontium and Trace Elements

is there a alt to iodine? i really don’t want to get it to putting iodine in to my system.

i know the rule test for everything you place in your tank. is there a testkit for this, and do i have to test for this or this is?

and what are other trace elements that are not produce by the tank that i would have to add for these guys

    sorry for the noob Q

If your using a decent salt mixture, that should have all of the necessary trace elements, such as iodine, strontium etc. I've never tested for iodine, but I also dont dose it. If you put something into your tank, you should test for it. I don't add anything else besides Ca, Mg and carbonates to keep my levels of those up, that's it

you should be fine, as long as you do routine water changes. if you don't, then I would get these supplements or a combination of these supplements to add every now and then

I'm pretty sure my zoanthids would grow in my toilet if I tossed them in there... Zoanthids of just about any type (there are always exceptions) are extremely hardy and will grow and spread everywhere like a festering disease. Grats on the new additions, PICTURES?

Get yourself a good coral food and keep your mag and cal on point and they should grow like crazy. I use the coral food from Tangster and dose Kent marine strontium and liquid cal supplements. Corals are looking pretty good.

I was using Kent Essential Elements with no problems and good success.

I did buy an iodine test kit to find out that I did NOT have enough iodine in my system. I started dosing and I saw Dramatic changes within 2 weeks. Most notably the Xenia:thumb_up:. All my corals looked better healthier and started growing faster.

In that same time, the only down side is one of my Ricordias has not been doing well.
