This is my current setup from front to back: ATI 6x54 Sunpower (55 gallon tank)
    Blue Special
    Blue +
    Figi Purple
    Blue Special
    Blue +
    Blue Special

    Question:
What is the color difference between AquaBlue 75/25, Blue Special, and Blue+

Please correct me if im wrong but:
    Blue Special = Blue/White bulb
    Blue + = Blue/Purple bulb
    75/25 = Blue/Yellow? bulb

Im trying to decide if I want to stick with what I have or try something else.

Why would someone choose a pruely actinic bulb? These specifically...
    ATI Actinic Plus
    ATI True Actinic
    Giesemann Super Actinic
    Giesemann Pure Actinic

Would it be wise to remove a Blue Special and add an actinic bulb?

ATI Aquablue Special is white with a hint of blue.
ATI Blue Plus is pure blue
UVL, ATI Purple Plus, Fiji Purple are red/purple bulbs generally considered a daylight/accent bulb.

ATI Actinic Plus you are thinking Geisemann it is similar to ATI Blue Plus
Geisemann Super Actinic is UVL brand and is the Actinic bulb with the most PAR. It is 85/15 actinic/blue Blue Plus is 75/25 actinic/blue.

Pure actinic makes fluorescent colors pop. Almost all of the blue bulbs have a lot of actinic in them. Most 11000K to15000K bulbs are 50/50 white/actinic.

What color are you looking for in your tank? One Blue Plus in place of an Aquablue will make it look a bit bluer. Two Blue+ in place of Aquablues will make it a lot more blue looking. The more blue the better the color and slower growth. The more white the better the growth and less color. 4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 Aquablue Special and 1 ATI Purple Plus is a good combination for a 14000K to 15000K look with good growth and color.

So an actinic bulb is selected purely for color? It doesn't help growth it only helps the tank look better?

Do the Fiji Purple and Actinic bulbs make the same colors pop? Reds/Pinks, ect

Going by what you said Steve.

    More Blue = Less Growth
    More Growth = Less Blue

I guess Im more concerned with growth right now. So I will just purchase the same bulbs I already have correct?

    Blue Special
    Blue +
    Figi Purple
    Blue Special
    Blue +
    Blue Special

Actinic does not help for growth.

Stay with what you have if you are looking for growth.

    Thanks.

    Couple more questions:

Geisemann AquaBlue Plus. Is that like the ATI Special or the Blue+?

Is the Fiji Purple the same as a UVL Super Actinic but with more PAR?

The aquablue plus is like the Aquablue Special. I have read that the aquablue plus has been linked to color fading.

The Fiji Purple is not the same as the UVL Actinic Plus. The Fiji is more like a daylight bulb the Actinic plus is between the ATI Blue Plus and a pure actinic.
