    Ok so I have a small sump (E-Shopps)..10gal on a 60

Had a Remora Pro HOB that I was not fond of (Hospital tank simmer soon)

So I was at my LFS tonight and say this......what the heck.

Well it was real easy to set up; the only issue I has was they kinked the airline....easy fix just bend it roll it around

Now the import thing I found was the depth you have it sitting....I have it now at 3.5" and have nice foam; water level adjuster is turned about a 1/4 to the right.....

    I like it 8)

    Here sre couple more

The one cool thikng is that to take the cuo off just loosen that big gray nut and your only lift 1/4" to get it out so great very small spaces with no head room

So 48hrs and I am getting skimmate......
Yesterday I was a bit dissapointed as the micro bubbles in the sump and past my large foam bloakc in a middle chamber and a pc of foam on the return pump make my DT look like it was foggy and my corals were not happy.....this morning a 50% improval!
Still there but at least I can see throught the length of the DT
I really like the ease of adjustment.....tons of micro bubbles in the skimmer chamber, nice and dense.

Marinelans says 5 days to break in and stop the excess dumping of micro bubbles into the sump.....patiance is needed here but I don't have a lot of that LOL

Will take a few pics later today.

Well first it is a HOB and takes up alot of room in a 60

Then I had issues with microbubbles into the DT. If the skimmer was operating full force to give me the best skimate it would dump alot of bubbles, if I scaled it back to produce less bubbles it give me less skimate.

I spoke to AquaC about it when I got and Jason is a great guy....send me a ball valve for free to try to help...it would but only by reducing my skimate.
    (FYI I used a MAG3)

I just was getting tired of it and saw this and said what the heck for 190 bucks and getting the HOB out of the DT I figured I would see how it works....

I actually am impressed.............micro bubbles in DT are coming down:)

Making a stand for it today....wasting a lot of volume with that tub in there as the stand...going to use eggcrate

How much water does this need to sit in to function efficiently?
