OHHHHH, well I'm just a noob but I don't see why not. So it would be the two gobies, clown and mandarin?

Clown gobies like any fish will feed on pods when they see them but that is not their primary food source and should not compete with the Mandarin for pods. The Mandarin is a slippery slope and there are many Mandarin police like tang police so I cannot answer that one.

Is a tossup .. My blue Mandrin has been in my RedSae 130 (40ish gal) for over a year with Black clown, Yellow wrasse, 6-line wrasse, algae blenny and a coral beauty.

Add in hermits, snails, emerald crab etc etc

Trick is to find one that will eat frozen/prepared foods.

Zoban, how is your Mandarin doing? Does he look chubby and have nice colors?

I think it should be the same care with most sensitive fish as long as they don't get picked on and have a healthy diet and actually eat when fed -- should be able to house happily right?

The major issue is if the mandarin will not eat frozen and you cannot maintain your pod population your screwed. Even in a larger tank mandarins can starve without enough pods as they have a fast metabolism and constantly graze pods. Frozen food from what I understand is really more of a supplemental feeding but they still have to have some pods.

Depends on your pod population. Ive been trying to target feed mine 2-3 times a day. If you have capability to sustain a huge pod population you will be fine. But you have to understand all they do ALL day is eat pods. I would recommend doing a lot of reading on them before you buy one. Just because it eats some prepared foods doesnt mean it is getting all of the nutrition it needs. I considered putting one in my 29 but im not sure that I am up to that much work. At least the 90g can sustain a pod population theoretically, the 29g with sump might, but i doubt a 29g without sump has a chance of sustaining enough pods for them. Whether you target feed or not they are going to hunt pods all day for more nutrition.

The green targets when they first came out? (Released around April 2010) Im digging through records just to verify what I had said and they sold from what I see for no less than $50 USD and up to $100 USD. Depending on area of the country. I have been in Florida and New York. Both were far above $30.

well I'm in Canada, and I actually didnt realize you were talking targets, they are $25 here, and dragonettes are $30-$35 at my lfs. thats so weird that they charge you that much for one, I wonder what your dragonettes would cost
