Noticed that many "fish people" are also "bird people" --- know many others here on 3Reef have some beautiful "bird friends" (have met number of them in past :))

Time for some new Rascal pics...

"Rascal!" says hello to other 3Reef buddies...("squawk")

    (SunConure.com)

Endearing, charming, playful and personality plus packaged into a vibrant bundle of feathers.

    Thats a sun conure!

The sun conure possesses a multifaceted personality that will delight the experienced bird owner and pique the curiosity of the inexperienced nonbird person. They can best be described as curious, inquisitive, active and playful. They love attention and closeness from their owners.

A flock of sun conures flying across an evening sky was once said to have resembled a beautiful sunset. Hence, the name sun conure was assigned to the species. The sun conure's body color possesses a yellow-orange glow with a distinct resemblance to gold. The brilliant blend of yellow, orange, red, blue and green colors means sun conures outshine most other birds in appearance.

    thats a very nice bird.
I used to have a green cheek conure but it passed away.
I have no idea what caused it to die but it was over night and i was going to take him to a vet in the morning but it was too late.

I heard sun conures are very loud

This is kinda ironic but like 2 hrs after making that post, we were backing out of a parking spot and this $%^#$ decided they were going to back on the the other side (behind me). I was already out in the lane, getting ready to put it in drive and cut my wheels strait when something caught my attention... This #$%#$ missed me by a few inches! I saw them coming, so I through it in drive and floored it, if I wouldnt have done that, there'd been a fight. That #$%^#$% would have hit me where Emma sits and she was in the car. When I floored it, of course the tires squeel, so that got their attention, then I layed on the horn and flipped them off. Then the $#^$^# looked at me like I did something wrong and thats when I started to get out and Sarah stopped me. I should have just moved a foot or two where it would miss Emma and let the #%^$%^ hit me. My 98 Honda Passport only has 199K miles and been in the woods on trails a time or two and gone cross country more times then I can remember (coral_reefer can attest to this). Its been to Maine several times, Florida several times and anywhere from Texas to Cali a few times. So its about due to be put out of its misery. I think its got one more cross country trip to Maine though before it dies, haha!
