new rock help

    got about 80lbs of once live rock all dried up from my dad's friend read around on coupple of trends so i bleached it with 2 9oz cups of bleach in a 5 gallon bucket filled with tap water bleached for a day and did a water change every day for 4 days so far what do i do next

    i heard the last step is to use baking soda and RO/DI water and soak it then dry it for a coupple of days

    o BTW i'm only doing about 12 lbs right now

    that would be fine. I've done that before. I would rinse the rock off with fresh water, then soak it in baking soda for a few days, then let it dry, and rinse it off again before using.

    ive used tap water, others will recommend RO/DI water. The last rinse should be with salt water.

    ok here's what i did so far

    1st day bleach with 2 9oz cups in a 5 gallon bucket of tap water with rocks
    2nd day tap water only
    tap water for 4 day changed every day
    backing soda in ro/di water for 2 days
    just ro/di water for 2 days
    now today salt water with a filter from my main tank with bacteria form main tank


    sounds good how long should i leave this
