I appreciate all the advise on my setup. Luckily I have some friends who are into the aquarium hobby so I do have some resources if I get stuck.

So, I know I need to go back to the lfs (I learned a new acronym here) and find out what needs to change in my setup if I want a live rock setup.

To recap - the question of glass vs. acrylic is off the table. I will stick with the AGA 95-Wave tank which is glass. I need to address the sump issue and make sure my skimmers are up to the job.

What is the best way to create a current in the tank large enough to keep the reef happy? I saw a set of pictures of someone punching holes on the back end of the tank and running pipes but what is the common way of getting a current flow in a 95 gallon tank?

One thing to keep in mind with the AGA wave tank as well as any other "shaped" tank is the amount of room under the stand. If you do decide on a reef tank the stand can and will get crowded in a hurry. I am at work so will help with the flow question later

    Hello Big T,

I am looking at buying the 95-Wave tank too. Did you buy the 95-Wave? If so, how do you like it? If not, what type of tank did you buy?

    Thanks,
