    Hi everyone... i'm very new to this aquatic adventure an also forum posts and blogging experiences. Seems that this FOWR aquarium I have started out with has me chainging my revenues into a Reef Aquarium and now it has me here gathering all the information while I am in the transition in case i have any questions. It seems like there are a lot of passionate people out there willing to help a newbie (as myself). So just a quick introduction.... I'm a sparatic 25 y/o Male serving in the USN... that lives in Bethesda, MD. It's really close to DC.
    My tank is just a salt water, live rock, a puffer fish, weak lighting, and i've started the transition to R/O water today with 5 gallons.... it's a 29 gallon tank so it's going to take maybe a week to have the water switched out during water changes.

    --MY GOAL---:eek::confused:::):confused:
    FIND AN AWESOME LiGHT for my tank so i can start cycling corals once I develop a safe habitat for them. I saw an awesome light system called Deep Blue 424 but it only came in 24" and I needed 30inch. Does anyone know of a lighting system similar to this system (programmable timers with 2 white lights and 2 blue lights for a lunar setting).... any information is welcome with this and also on my how i am converting my FOWLR to a reef tank.... i'm all ears! THANKS EVERYONE

    any information on lighting is helpful

    Deep Blue Professional T5HO Units with LED Moonlights something along this line! it has a timer and the lights switch from the white to the moonlights... the 24 inch was $230 but wouldnt fit my tank properly and i would have horrible access.... u have any other suggestions? i want something similar... to me this seems top of the line? I'm not looking much into LED lights.... but i'm not totally against them either.

    thank you for the look up- i'm for some reason not into LED lights... i want something that has a dual control and timer for a white light and a moon light- with enough watt to support hard and soft reef.

    I will look through my Marinedepot catalog.

    I had the same issue on an Aquapod tank, I got the bigger fixture the 36 inch, because it has the adjustable legs, but you have over hang with that.

    Sorry the only 30 inch I can find is the Aqualight but it does not have the LED or programmable feature.

    Hopefully someone else will chime in with another option.

    You could always edit the title of your thread to include a lighting question or start a thread specifically regarding the lighting question. Might get the attention of those lighting gurus.

    A DIY canopy sounds like the best way to go.
