    That is looking good.
    Are you going to put a center brace in after you have the doors in?
    what type of wood are you using?
    Are you going to stain it or paint it?

    Take some more picture please would love to see close ups of everything. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=biggrinbounce.gif] [smiley=goldfish.gif] [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif]

    Also you may want to paint the canopy on the inside white. I know they make a special epoxy paint that allot of reefers use to help reflect the light.
    Moon lights?

    the tubs have one draw back. They are very hard to section off for a refugium. If you have enough room above that tub then build yourself a stand for it and use a gravity feed down to the sump area.

    Also if putting a heater in the sump you may want to think about making a bracket for it so it does not touch the side or bottom and melt the plastic.

    @Nautilus

    Great "tips" - will find good "reflective paint" for inside canopy - but am leaving open except for top cross supports to hang on lighting. Hear ya on heaters - will watch out for and rig so not touching sump sides.

    Thoughts of refugium still up in air. Not much room to work with - think I am going to have to go with a smaller tank/container inside main sump to get over sump "sectioning" problem. Have not quite sorted out yet.

    Stand is all oak - legs and bracing ( canopy is pine except for oak side panels.) Stand legs are (3) 1X3"s laminated together with 3/4" plywood top shelf. If was any longer would need center bracing, but don't think needed for 4' tank.

    Will stain all, then cover everything with couple coats of polyeurathane for water protection.

    "Moon Lights" already in 48 inch PowerCompact with Moonlight fixture from CustomSeaLife on exsisting tank which will be moving over to this one along with new PFO Mh.

    Will do "update" when I get further along.

    Thanks again for "idea's" - any other thougts come up..please throw them this way.

    Would have never thought when first getting into this that I would also need some practical carpentering, plumbing & electrical skills - all of which am woefully deficent in - but "Readers Digest" - "Back to Basics" has been a great help so far.

    A side door would be nice so you can get to other thing s under the tank.

    @Matt,

    Re: "Moving"

    Don't ever intend to - was reason for not ever getting into saltwater earlier.

    While in Military (21 yrs) my good ole 55 gal made trip to Alaska, 2 roundtrips to Europe and about a dozen inside moves in US. - (Says much for its durability, & quality of military "movers")

    My moving days are over.

    My only future concern is talking my wife out of whole front living room for next "upgrade" ;)

    Hey Omar, go to a marine supply store and get the epoxy paint they sell for boat hulls it is reflective and will waterproof the inside of the hood which will help moisture from warping things

    Phil your the man.
    I think you can get it at Lowes and Home depot also.

    Think about electrical outlets, if you put them in now you will have less headaches later.

    Do you have RO/DI water? If so think about you water lines and float switch for it.
