    Tank full - pumps running.

Couple of minor "leaks" in "plumbing job" but got them taken care of right away. (forgot to open skimmer output gate before firing up pump - was quite an initial shock when skimate output container filled completely in about 3 seconds and started spuing water everywhere :-[ - quickly figured that problem out.)

That "Squid" works as advertised! - Amazing water flow thru it. -

Only has 1 250W heater so will take a while for tank to warm up. Another heater will move from 1st tank after transfer.

Likely to take day or so for water to clear from the new "Southdown" added before filling.

    IDEA OF THE DAY!

Was reading over in saltwater FAQ's story of poster who was taking care of somebody's tank while he was on vacation. Turned off pumps to feed, but forgot to turn back on before he left for the day, resulting in complete tank dieoff.

Frightful and easy to imagine scenerio!

Anyway, thought comes to hook up a "timer" switch" in the power strip line that runs the pumps w/easy access to from front of tank. One of those at you "twist" on the amount of time you want to have pumps powered off for feeding times. - expect just a matter of wiring "switch" to turn off power while timer engaged.

Anyone using such a system? - am going to HD tomorrow to get switch to experiment with.
