Sorry if this post seems to cover alot of what has already been covered in forums but first venture into saltwater aquariums and try to get some tank specific help.

Have a brand new Aqua-one evo 120 (270 litre about 69 us gallons if my maths is right) aim is to turn into a reef tank.

First question is to drill or not to drill, I am leaning towards drilling but can not get a clear answer if the glass in tempered or not so if anyone has knowledge of brand and particularly model that would be fantastic. Best i can determine is its 8mm glass :) and if drilling not recommended best thoughts for external overflow.

Definately looking at constructing an acrylic sump and refugium with in sump protien skimmer

skimmer ---> return <---- refugium over flow spilt with a T piece to skimmer and refugium to allow reduced flow over refugium both feeding back into return with a submergable pump feeding back upto main tank.
drop from tank to sump around 1mtr (3.3 feet)
Any suggestions on skimmers and pumps sump size based on tank would be gladly accepted as Im honestly just confused by the conflicting reviews and opinions.

The tank comes with 2 x 54W T5 would these lights me suitable and if not what would be best replacements.

Powerheads/waves etc this is all dutch to me is there a calculation of how many for tank.

If alot of this has already been covered in other treads I appologise but Im kind at a point were id like to try narrow down choices based on tank and size.

I thank you all in advance for any and all time and replys
