Anything that you add after the undulated trigger is established and you are going to find out why some fish have "eyespots" on their tails;). I would consider making your own choices when it comes to stocking your tank. I have kept a couple "trigger only" set-ups.

I believe this may be a bad idea. I think I have read of incidents where triggers will pick at the lion's long fins. Something to keep in mind.

    Definetly worth a try though.

A trigger Only Set up was another option of mine. I was thinking about a Niger and a Picasso with the undulate.

I will give it a try someday, if the Trigger attacks the lion, I'm just gonna move the lion over to another tank and keep him in there with either a white mouth moray or snowflake eel

K so I got the trigger. he's acclimatized and in the tank. Still hiding a bit. I'm hoping that by tomorrow night, he'll come out a bit so I can get some photos.

I'm sitting down in my fish room with my laptop waiting for him to come out. I just fed for the first time. He's just poking his head out from behind a rock every now and then. I bought some Kent-garlic Xtreme today to try to get it to eat. No luck so far. At least I don't think so. I hope he survives. I love him. wish me luck guys;D

Some more info on the trigger:

The Balistapus undulatus or Undulated Triggerfish is a very desireable choice for the marine aquarium and is very sought after. Best known for it`s eventual belligerent attitude, this fish can be shy when introduced but will get over this behaviour quite quickly. Should be housed as the only trigger as it is likely to attack tankmates eventually. Will likely bite your hand, be sure you know where this pretty specimen is at all times when reaching into your tank.

Hey art, thanks for the info... Everytime I peek my head into the room, I see him swimming about. He's still a bit timid while I'm in the room tho. But as your post explained, he'll get over it. thanks
    cheers

We set up 2 QT systems in the QT warehouse and each system drained into it's own 3000 gallon sump. We had a power glitch and the pump didn't reprime so I had to take off my jeans.....walk all the way through the pond in my underwear and reprime the pump.

Well, and undulated trigger apparently jumped out of his QT tank and was swimming in the pond/sump (but I didn't know it). Well he didn't like me being in there and the stupid thing was biting the heck out of my legs. I was screaming and running through the water as fast as I could to get away from him. As you might imagine, the workers found this hilarious.
