    Hey all,

    Quick question...

I noticed today that my tank suddenly has these white spots showing up on the glass, live rock, shells, etc. It may be nothing, but I was just surprised how quickly they appeared. Here are a couple of pics.

It is roughly circular and seems to have a darker center in most cases. Is this coraline algae? It can't be something dead because it has just appeared within a couple of days.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rick

I agree with above and here's another link with pic ID's to help you out..
Look for feather Duster #3 almost all the way down on the list. It also has some size comparison to help out also..

I have those all over the back glass of my tank. I had some up front and I could tell that they were a feather duster of some sort by putting my finger close to them and the hair like things will go back in the shell looking thing. lol that sounded really noobie.:)
