    Hi and Welcome to 3reef,

Need an image of the Red Algae you're questioning in the other thread you created. First guess would be cyanobacteria. If this is a new tank with adequate flow, without elevated nitrates or phosphates the cyano should resolve on it's own. If this is not a new tank you need to check the levels of phosphates and nitrates and takes steps to reduce those levels if they are elevated.

Basically need more information regarding your system such as age and filtration.

As for a pair of breeding clowns, you can find on line distributors that carry adult pairs actively spawning or with a hx of spawning. A sponsor link is below.

Not unusual for a 2 month old tank to have an initial cyanobacteria outbreak. You need to make sure you're not over feeding the tank, you're water source is not adding phosphates or nitrates (nutrients) to your tank. Inadequate flow will also contribute to cyano growth.

Your best bet is to ask your local reefing club or the local fish store regarding acquiring a pair of clowns. Or you can buy one adult female and a juvenile male to become a spawning pair.

Do you have a sump or any other filtration? What are your parameters at? Are there fish or inverts currently in the tank??

The protein skimmer is from Petco the water comes out like a filter and everything is reading normal and I was told to cut my light off for a few days but when I did my clownfish started acting like it was dying after an hour of the light bein off

How many fish/livestock are in the tank? I can't imagine having enough filtration in your tank for bioload with just a skimmer. How many pounds of rock do you have? Are you reading any ammonia, nitrite or nitrates? I would think you have to many nutrients in the system and that's causing cyano blooms. Where do you buy your water?
