I have a 35 gallon hex . Not looking to do anything fancy. I was thinking a fuzzy dwarf lion or a couple of clowns with a scooter blenny. No corals probably just live sand and rock. Everyone tells me different advice I'm becoming confused. Do I need a protein skimmer? I was told a biowheel would be fine. Also, how much live rock could I use as a minimum? On a budget unfortunately. And lastly, do I need special lighting if I'm not doing corals just yet. Thanks for your advice eveyone.

welcome to 3reef, everyone here knows there stuff, yake their advise and youll do just fine!! id take most of your budget to start and put it towards about 35-40 lbs of live rock and a good filter or skimmer to start. then over the next few weeks as it cycles, you can save up your money for lights and so on. good luck
