Not really sure where this should have gone - im sure the mods will put it in its place...

Took my family to the Niagara falls aquarium yesterday... It was alot of fun for my kids, so i have to recommend it--but it was a big disappointment to the big kid.

They didnt even have one reef tank... Their marine tanks were all fake LR. Clown trigger, bunch of clown fish, gray angel and a few others across 2-3 tanks. They had one anemone tank and a tide pool tank with anemones in it. I was kind of surprised at how poor the lighting was over them. Arent anemones pretty UV thirsty? I'm pretty sure they were standard fluorescent light bars that i could buy at home depot.

Anyway i took some pictures but they seriously aren't worth looking at. Sorry Luna...

Maybe next time i will go through the hassle of crossing the border and go to Marineland. It would have to be better. Costs alot more too im sure... It was 9. per adult in case anyone was wondering

That's a shame. When you consider how any people visit Niagra Falls, it would be a great place for people to see a real reef tank.

niagara falls to me is a huge ripoff tourist trap. the actual falls are awesome, but the rest is horrible. over priced especially. ive done the obligatory trips with the kids, but glad thats over with. lol. guess i will start saving for grandkid trips someday. :)

growing up in Buffalo i learned an important lesson....

Dont buy ANYTHING in niagara falls. Including food.

We didnt and total cost of the trip including parking was $28.00

We brought lunch and then had dinner on the way back to Rochester.

Add anything as far as purchases and we instantly would have ballooned to over $100.

I dont know how they get it out of you, but they do.
