thanks for the replies guys. One thing I just discovered. I am running a Bak Pak HOB skimmer.....it's only rated for up to 60g. So I think having a heavy bioload and a skimmer that is not large enough is really adding to my problem. I started to feed every other da now and have been keeping up on my water changes. Im trying to get my 125 tank ready so im not really wanting to buy another HOB skimmer when my new tank will be drilled with a nice sump setup!

If it an API kit, the expiration is worked into the lot number. Look on the bottles themselves to determine.....

Agreed. If the nitrates are that high, I would start off with a 30% water change and repeat in a week. Myself, I am dealing with a nitrate issue and my corals are beginning to suffer. I need to do a back to back 30% this weekend. Bummer:-[.

Skimming will help immensely. Look into the following skimmers for a general idea. ....in my order of preference....

    **PM Bullet-3
    **ETSS 600XR
    **ASM G-3
    **AquaC EV-240
