Is there a critter in the Sea(or my tank) that eats Nudibranches? I just received 4 the other day and noticed one was shredded and my goby is trying to eat it. Will this hurt him or should I pick out all the little pieces?? I just noticed it.

Did you put these nudibranchs in the tank on purpose? If you did, what kind are they?

Ah...I guess you have an algae problem then?

As for what eats them, not much as most of them are toxic. Your fish should know well enough to not consume it so unless it's a really really stupid fish, it should be fine.

Yes big algea problem, my son watched them for a week and probably WAY over fed them and also the tank heated up to about 86 degrees. I'm very surprised that everything lived, but I needed another cleaner pk mine just wasn't cutting the hair algea, so I ordered a pk from reeftopia and they are eating away. My goby(very long, flat on tail, tube looking guy) was trying to eat it. Should I sccop out the remains?

My icon is a pic of the one that was eating it. IMO a stupid fish! I think the nudibranch may have gotten sucked thru a power head. I just put foam on the intakes, so, if that was the reason it won't happen again....

If the nudibranch that was shred is dead then by all means, remove it. Your engineer goby was probably just taste testing and now knows better than to try to eat any more :)

Already done! Goby dude seemed to have enjoyed it though, he scarfed most of it down. He's acting normal(as normal as he normally does). What to do if he gets sick from it? (just in-case) I also went to my lfs yesterday and got 3 med-lg turbo snails and a bottle of purple up. Hopefully, I can get my pink back again! Thanks for your help!

I would avoid using Purple Up at the moment seeing as it contains iodine which your hair algae will be very fond of. Get your algae problem under control first. As for the goby, not much you can do if it gets sick unless you know how to pump its stomach :)

Gotcha about the Purple Up. I thought about that too. I have a question off this subject......know where the little smiley face with the "flag" or word off of it on a post? How do you change that? I did it a long time ago and want to change it and can't figure it out. TY! About the Goby...I'm working on that one....LOL
