Octopus or Octopus Extreem?

    I have a 72g bow with a 38g sump. I have been looking at the Octopus NW 150 or The Octopus Extreem 160. There is about $100 difference between the 2 skimmers. I am leaning toward the NW 150 so I can also get a Auto-top off system.
    Anyone have a suggestions on the direction that is best?

    I've never tried the 150, but I have the octopus 160 xtreme and it works great (90 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump). Regarding the auto-topoff, you can build one yourself with a $10 float switch from ebay.

    Just ordered the Octopus Extreme 160 w/mesh and ATB Purple Pinwheel from Reefspecialty.com. The skimmer sits in the sump. I have limited space so i went with in sump skimmer. This skimmer is made by ATB not CoralVue. They have a CoralVue complete Auto Top-off kit for $64

    They offer free shipping aswell.

    I thought about making my auto top off system, but that worried me a little. My friend has this system from autotopoff.com for $50 so it is the direction that seems the best.

    I really want my next tank to be a 90 so that is good to know! thx!

    Where do you have a your top off in your sump? chamber? I am building a sump/fuge and I don't know how to order my chambers.

    That is what I was thinking. I can try and make most things, but that can end in a flood (wife would kill me!) I just can't decide why the Extreem is worth so much more.. the pump? anyone?
