freekin awesome! how do you contain the little buggar? I wanted to get an octopus sooo bad but read about a pet shop owner who set up a camera because he was loosing fish turned out the resident octopus was climbing out of it's tank, over two, having himself a fish or two, and then sneaking back to his own tank...

nothen real speacial, just the normal versatops. i would deff recomend a speical tank all by thereself or keepen a ton od grass shrimps with him. if not they will eat whatever they can get their tentcles on. so far he has gone through 2 coral beauties, a decent size clark clown, a wrasse(don't remeber what kind), 2 heinochis, a copperbanded and a harliguin shrimp, snails, hermits(didn't mind those so much) and probaly something else.

i have been slowely turning the tank into a reef tank and was planning to get rid of some of the fish, but didn't plan on them being food. for the first month he/she was good, only eating hermits and snails. he has taken out all these fish in the last month or so. i have a bicolor dottyback that i wouldn't mind him eating, but he hasn't touch him.

the coolest thing about it is the color changen ability. if the blink of an eye he will change from solid black to the lightest green w/ black spots to neon green to black and white tiger band. it can also change the texture of its skin from smooth to bumpy to where it almost has like minny spikes.

Oh man octos are extremely intelligent. Being an ex-Aquarium volunteer I helped out with feeding the giant pacific octos they had. We had to make puzzles for them to get the bits of clam and whatever for food such as putting the food in an easter egg, then putting the easter egg in a jar and closing the lid fully on the jar. They get in, eat, yay. Also had some fun with some Mr. Potato head bodies and such. Awesome little guy you got there!
