    Sorry for being an arse. It's just that that was kind of shocking; it kind of blew me back a little bit knowing all the work I've put into trying to keep those animals alive to hear that. You did what you could.

    sorry guys i was in panic. i couldnt think of anything else to do. i would of taken it to LFS but couldnt... i would of transfered it to another tank but i dont have one to put him in.

    i know i'll probably get bashed for this but i would do the same you get the death penalty in my tank if you kill my clowns i love my clowns way more than a octopus

    octopus' don't live very long in captivity anyway. He probably would have died in a matter of months with an inexperienced keeper.

    Or an experienced keeper for that matter. I'd love to have an octopus in a species tank but I can't stand the thought of getting one only to have it die 6-12 months later after everyone in the family has gotten attached to it.

    You really had to do something quickly to protect the rest of your tank. I'm supportive of the tough call you had to make to keep your other occupants alive.
