My husband and I have a 6 bulb fixture with that exact bulb combination on our 55 gallon tank. I don't think your tank is odd shaped =) we have a 42x18x24 but its a 75 gallon.

Grim Reefer on RC did one.... it is from like 2005 or 2006 though... Not sure how the lamps changed. It is only T5 lamps, though.

My goal in the next year is to retest as many lamps as I can now that is almost 4 years later.. I would like to do MH as well, but I am going to start with t5, sorry MH dudes!

yea ive see grim reefers test but its not anything close to as complete as sanjays tests.
Manhattan Reefs - Sanjay's Lighting Guide
which have the different ratings for different fixtures and bulbs in combonation, iguess im just spoiled after sanjays.

i would assume blueplus would be like a 15k bulb, pure actinic is just that a actinic bulb, with t5s i would get 2 10k's and 2 actinics as the initial bulb configuration then you can decide next time if you want it bluer or whiter.

Like sostoudt stated Blue+ is literally a BLUE lamp, offsets daylight lamps and gives off good PAR. An actinic is violet and is meant to cause corals to really POP!
Actinic lamps put out little PAR...

So for a 6 bulb setup, would you just skip the Blueplus or maybe just put 1 with 2 actinics and the other 3 daylight? The only setups I've ever seen are at my LFS and they're not the greatest...I just don't know what I need....thanks for all the great advice thus far.
