    Congratulations.

It's an amazing and stunning hobby.

Try a kelp forest dive off Ca if you can, mind blowing.

I have a memory of a night dive back in the mid 90's. Upon descent to about 40 feet, a barracuda swam right into my buddie's octo regulator, held in place by a nice shiny caribeener.

That wasn't half of it. When we got down to the ocean floor, I saw what I thought was a Volkswagen Beetle. It was a sea turtle. The thing was so old, its eyes were black with age. I also recall barnacles growing on the turtle's back that were bigger than a fist. I looked right into it's eyes. It was quite an experience. I brushed my hand on his front paw, flipper, claw, whatever it's called. It turned it's head toward me, rose up about 5 feet and swam away. It looked like the USS Enterprise entering warp speed. I remember it went from huge to a distant dot in what seemed like 2 seconds.

    I'll never forget that.

SCUBA diving is full of amazing experiences. Be careful. Remember, ascend slowly and never hold your breath.
