Fine, not actually broken, if you must be technical.

But my darling devil spawn ::) (my kitten), well she got behind my tank and chewed the hose connecting the tank to the canister filter early this morning (say 5ish am) and nobody noticed until 10:30 (it was supposed to be a vacation day today!). And by then, the tank was a quarter of the way drained, and the carpet was absolutely soaked! Anyway, I turned everything off and the fish seem to be doing okay, to tell you the truth i don't think they've noticed. And the anemone looks really good, better than before.

But the top portion of my hammer coral is like a half inch out of the water, and I can't move him because of my snowflake eel, which has taken to living in the coral. So will he be okay until tonight when I can get some more water to fill the tank with, or am i going to lose him?

Also, anybody have any experiences like this and how'd they turn out?

(the good news is that my little marroon clown is growing up and getting his gold stripes!;D)

do you have anything moving the water, just getting gas exchange going is more important than filtration atm, if you dont have it setup, set a powerhead or something to disturb the surface of the water as much as you can that will keep O2 going into the water for the inhabitants, eels esspecially can suffocate pretty easily if their decent sized

Thanks, I should go do that now, shouldn't I?
I just kind of turned of everything but the lights while I was trying to fix it, and just left it off. Didn't know that about the eels though. he's tiny though, only about 8 inches.

Thanks. But I'm 13, it's not really even my tank; it's my mom's. And I tried to, but I don't have any way to fix it other than to turn it off until my mom gets home.

Hey! Please follow Iraf's suggestions and try to provide as much circulation as possible (if you are not sure about safety of your equipment, wet sockets etc... WAIT FOR YOUR PARENTS!) Good luck! :-/ K+ for your trouble!

I just wanted to point out that I've had 2 seperate eels/occasions where I've picked up a dried out eel that climbed out of the tank and put it back in the tank and watched them swim off.

No hard feelings.

Can you explain a little better about why you can't move the hammer coral.
