    hey i have a lot of extra salt water from after i filled up my tank. If i leave this water in a bucket how long does it stay good for?

    Just keep a lid on it and a power head going and it should be just fine until your next water change (even longer)

    To add to what was already said, 12-24 hrs before the WC, add a air stone to it.
