ok, why is it when you get one problem solved another arrises.

Here goes: While I seemed to have found the sweet spot for the chili coral, I am having a problem with my hammers now. It had 7 heads, it was huge. Now three of the heads seem to be shriviling up? Any ideas. All water param. good. Do I need to keep moving it around until I find where it likes it best, and will the heads come back?

Hammers, Frogsprawns and Torches will do that from time to time. Thats normal, unless its more than 2-3 days.

    picture would be ideal

the things I have learned from my LPS
1 - they dont like to much flow, if the expanded polyps get buffeted they sense danger may occur and deflate
2 - they dont like new water poured on top of them at water change
3- they do better if when they are expanded they are not touching rock work, again the coral senses the danger of puncture and does not fully inflate

those are just some of my observations on my corals

as stated a picture would be ideal so we can asses the current condition of your coral

As Steve stated, without a pic its hard to diagnose it.

Wait a day or two to see if they are really dying. If you see that they're not coming back, you can cut those heads off.

this is really starting to suck. excuse my french here. This is my pride and joy, and I can't wait for my once a month to go get new corals. I want things that flow in the current and yet I can't seem to keep them going. What else is out there that won't die on me so easily.
