Any ideas why my velvet neon damsel keeps opening and closeing his mouth rapidly for the last 3 /4 days, opens round 2/3mm?

For o2 i have a koralia 2 pointed up at surface,+ my return pipe from cannister filter, then theres the bubbles that hit the surface from the airline skimmer, Lees skimmer medium, the temperature is set at a constant 80f?

osund slike a lack of O2 to me too. Try an air pump and wooden air stone, just to see if it makes a difference

I would also lower the temp a little(77-79) The higher the temp, the less O2 is in the water. Luna

did you add anything to the tank like purple up or calcium or something,i had this happen to my blue damsel cause like a retard i added stuff i didnt test for.i tried an airstone too but it didnt work, he got worse,i netted him and ran the net with him in it back and forth across the tank forty or so times and that and a quick 10% water change worked.
