Ok, metal halides are ordered and on the way. I am going to build a new canopy to house them. This tank is 72x18. I want to see pics of your retrofit halide canopy. I want to be able to open the top for maintenance, and have small front doors for feeding etc. K+ to all pics...Thanks :)

Cool Nugio--I like the split design. Is the front portion of the canopy smaller so the halides are centered? Is it easy to stick your arm in there if needed? K+

Nice--Does the top open or just the front doors?? If just the front doors, How do you get your arm in the tank to do work in there?

just the front doors open but i can reach the sandbed with my short arms. only one rock does not go through the front doors. i have a feeder stick but can pretty much reach anything without it.

yea its prolly 4 inches so the halides are centered. its 14 inches high so theres plenty of room for tinkering
