Orange Fungia dying

    His mouth is constantly open and getting white blotchiness. I have not seen polups in days. Hermits are not on him yet but I am not sure if they would eat him anyway? What do you guys think? I will post pic later

    What lighting is he under? How long have you had him? Try target feeding him and see if you get a response. Also, if you could dip him in some TMPCC or some Reviv. I dose Brightwell Aquatics Restor, which helps with bleaching/Damages corals.

    Fungia are usually pretty tough, if it does pass away dont throw away the skeleton, leave it where it is, a lot of times little bits of tissue will survive and grow a new fungia from it

    I forgot about that. Ive heard some people report that their fungia died, only to have babies come up or recover. As far as babies go, I know that the mother plate usually dies.

    Yes, I also read where even after a month or so, babys started showing up..

    It is on the sand under a 150 MH bulb. Have had him a year. he is next to a large fungia now. I moved him 2 weeks ago. I only fed him maybe 1 or 2 times a months maybe not enough.

    I feed mine at least once a week, it loves cut up raw shrimp..
