    May very well be the starfish releasing eggs but never having witnessed such a thing myself, I can't really say if that's what they are. I would get them out and run some carbon asap though because if they are eggs, they will most likely rot in your tank and cause water problems.

    Protein skimmer suck all of them up. A few are stuck in the sponge though.
