Everything I have read says to feed this fish twice a day. Is that true? If you have one what and how often do you feed.

I dont have the orange strip prawn but have the yellow and green stripe in our nano...... I feed one time a day usually however you really have to watch the food you give them as they are so tiny that they cant eat a lot of it. If I notice they did not eat I will do another feed later on in the day Plus these are the only fish in my system (along wtih a barnacle blenny) so they are not competing with bigger fish to get the food

So I believe what you are trying to say as long as it accepts food once daily (such as mysis cubes) I should be fine?

    I appreciate schackmel response. Thanks.
I was wanting some other opinions on this though. I am looking to some who owns this particular fish and how you care for it.

Whenever a Randall's Goby has a pistol shrimp, once per day is fine because they just sit in the den all day. If it doesn't have a pistol and is more active, definitely feed it twice/day. They have a high metabolism. They will often take quickly to sinking pellets but make sure it's a high in meat-based proteins and not just vegetable matter.

I bought a pistol shrimp and the goby at the same time. They were not paired, in separate tanks. Since I dropped the two, if have yet to see the shrimp, which I was expecting.

Bought this fish on Saturday. It has yet to feed. I've tried lots of different food and a few different techniques of feeding it.

I am beginning to question what's to long for this fish to eat? I understand that this fish could be shy when introduced to a new tank. When should I begin to be concerned?

Some pics of the fish. And oh yea, still haven't seen my pistol shrimp (I have heard it a few times though).
