Hi, I would like to know if anyone has the Orphek PR-156 unit and if so are you satisfied with it. Could you also tell me how deep and how long your tank is and how many of these lights it takes to run it?
Thanks in advance for your help and insight.

I was thinking about getting that light but I would have to purchase 2 of them for my tank. My tank is 30" deep, 24" wide and 72" long. I heard great reviews on it also.

Orpheks are built for deep tanks, 36" or more. If your tank is less than that go for the PR156W with 120 degree optics. Check out captive aquatics blog or curvball's review of them. 1 of the fixtures per 36" seems good to me. For example orphek told me for a tank that is 48X24X30 you'd need 2 156W

Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the info. My tank is 210g and 6 ft long. I just measured it and it is 28" deep. Thanks for the tip. Hey could you tell me is it a lot more cost efficient to run leds versus MH. I have 3 250w MH on my tank and it is very costly every month to run them. I have lots of hard corls and a few softies. I appreciate any and all info from all who answer.

I'm running 3 400 w on mine and its 2 inches deeper than yours. I'm going full led in a couple months.

Are you going with the PR156W? Only 2?

I did a cost calculation based on 3 250W halides bulbs replaced every 9 months and electricity. Anyway, 3 led modules will pay for themselves in 2 yrs 9 mo
