    the inside parts are: about 30 feet of black tubing that wraps around the inside of the cylanderin the middle of the unit it is filled up with small bio balls, this is where the nitrate eating bacteria live, the tubing is so long as to accomplish a 02 free enviroment because of the slow drip rate. here is a pic of my hair coral with a little barnacle inside.

    Thanks for the info. I haven't had nitrates in a long time, but for some people with a high bio-load, that may be the answer. I'll point them your way! [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif]

    yes it is a nitragon, it is the small unit as when i bought it the large unit was not available.
