Who says pulsing Xenia's do not sting? Mine stung me pretty good today and it kills like a bee sting. I was shocked. I was holding up the rock it was at the top and got my wrist.

Everyone is sensitive in their own way... I have heard of people getting "stung" by monti capricornis....
I got sarchophyton juice in my eye once... It was red for days and stung like no ones business.
I had a close call with zoos the other day, but thats a different story..

Remember gloves and goggles, even though you look like a scardy cat. Coral can present a multitude of issues to different people.

    Happy reefing!

I agree everyone is different but I'm 95% sure that Xenia don't sting. I'm pretty sure they don't have nematocyst cells! (Stinging cells) Maybe something else in your water got you, but certainly not the Xenia.
