outdid myself {kind of}

    so i put my penguin 350 on my sump,not plugged in, started a siphon from the overflow to run the biowheels in it and put the basket from a fluval 305 filled with sand,bout 10 inches,in front of the penguins output and wa-lah, now i've got mechanical,biological and deep sand bed/refugium without any more electricity! woo hoo!,,,
    although i don't think the fluval dsb is big enough to help much it can't hurt, i've got another fluval 305 and another penguin 350. i may set up doolies;) then they'll be twice as useless..lol

    these didnt come out good at all, anyways, removed the penguin this morning because the return was way too loud, i added the other fluval dsb ,they are on either side of the skimmer,with the overflows feeding them. my nitrates are under five now anyway but it will be interesting to see if these make a difference
