yea currently have GHA and small cyano. I had a thread about possibly target feeding with a turkey baster, and most suggested not too because it may scare the fish even worse. And that's also why i hate the fact of overfeeding because i'm currently having GHA and i think i'll get a bit more growth increase from tonight's feeding. I've always fed a small amount up until tonight, and only did it tonight to try to get the fish to come out, so i'm thinking now that it worked, along with the other methods that i tried tonight, i'm hoping i can drop the overfeeding part and feed my normal amount again, and hopefully the firefish will come out again.

I'm thinking i'm at the point where all i have a to do a lot of trial an error to get the fish to come out from hiding in time before the food is gone.

yea but i think you would rather deal with the gha or cyano even though the over feeding may feed the algae some, it is better to deal w/ that than to lose a prized/loved fish IMO

I got one of those Syringes that you inject turkeys or chicken with and just stuck a 6" piece of airline tubing on the end instead of the needle and I just suck up some food mixed with tank water and garlic juice and I "inject" it into my watchmans cave to get him/herto start eating.

Well, I feed my fish with a turkey baster and they have fallen in love with it. Anytime I stick it in the tank, they flock to it and try to eat the food inside. It has become associated with food time. I would try it. It's a much better idea IMO than overfeeding like that. He may be scared at first, but as he realizes that's where the food comes from he should get used to it. I would try feeding him like this several times a day and have small meals, just so he gets used to it without having to wait days.

Thanks. My watchman digs it. I was worried at first because he/she is so shy and wouldnt eat at first. Now she nibbles at the tubing when it comes into the tank. Even the pistol shrimp likes it. He reaches up in the tube and just yoinks what he wants.
