Alright well i have a tank with a internal corner overflow that has one hole. What i want to know is what type of pipe setup should i have for the water to drain. When i had originally bought it it just had a 1" pvc pipe with holes drilled in it so i really dont know how i should set it up. Also i really dont want to buy a kit so if anyone has a way that i can do it with pvc or simple materials that would be great. Thanks

The single PVC pipe with holes drilled down the side would be fine, but it would probably be a little loud. If you make a DIY durso pipe with materials you can get from your local home depot or lowes (except for the strainer), it'll probably only cost you $10. We run those in our tanks cause they drain fast and are quiet.

A home made durso is a great way to drain water quietly. Follow the directions on this site.
    Durso Standpipes

I have a single 1" durso on my 200g tank with a 1" relief over flow just in case. fwiw, a 1" pipe can flow just under 1000 gph
