Would this overflow box be overkill for a 120 Gallon tank? If not, what other equipment, besides the sump, would I need to operate this system? Any specific products would be greatly appreciated!

    Yes.
Ideally you want the sump to be flowing at a 5X turnover rate of tank capacity. Any faster, and you make your filtration less efficient, as it moves the water in and out before it can be properly processed.

I agree. You could run a lower flow return pump than that overflow is rated for, but if you do that it may not be enough flow through the u-tube to push air bubbles through.

So then what both of you are saying is that I should go with a smaller overflow. Of the two that will be listed below, which one should I go with?

    1. Pf-800 rated up to 125 gallons at 800 GPH, single tube
    2. Pf-1000 rated up to 200 gallons at GPH, dual tube

The 800 should do fine but take a look at the 1000. Is it just a double version of the 800? If it is you could remove one of the u-tubes to run it at lower flow, and still have the option of higher flow if you find that suites your tank better.

I would just go with the 800, it would be perfect for your tank.

Well thank you to the both of you. Now all I need to do is figure out how I am going to find some money as well as figure out how to put together a sump with an overflow and all that stuff....
