DOES ANYONE USE THESE BULBS !!! Can I switch the intensity using a dimmer and can I switch between day/night lighting ??

I have been reefing for a long time and know all I really want to about this hobby...and so I have been VERY reluctant to buy LEDs because I know little to nothing about them.

I have a new 40g breeder, I want to hang one of each of these bulbs on each side of the middle divider.

you can dim the reefbreeders using a regular houshold light dimmer, not sure on the Ecoxotic if you can do that.
neither of them will allow you to switch between what leds are on, its either all of them or none of them (one of the reasons i got rid of my previous par bulbs)
FWIW i ran 5 par38s over a 65g (same dimensions as a 40b, just higher) and i thought it was just enough. i would think 2 over your tank would have alot of very low light spots.
Par 38s pack a good punch but you need a few to get good coverage.

You can actually use par 38 bulbs to seperate your colors as most companies have options as far as color combo's. Its a matter of choice as to what look you are going for.;)

TO USE THE PAR BULBS AND BE ABLE TO UTILIZE THE DAY/NIGHT YOU WOULD NEED TO BUY SEPERATE BLUE AND WHITE BULBS THEN ARRANGE THEM OVER THE TANK.Kind of a pain but doable and you would have alot of possiblities for placement.(I wouldn't lol)
I would purchase a fixture with 2 power cords and dimmers.;)
