ok, well im pretty new to this forum and in general the whole "fish hobby"

with some help from a friend ive decided to jump into this hobby. which even though at the moment its nothing special, i haven taken joy in it.

i got most of my supplies from a semi-local store (barrier reef, boca raton, fl)
they have great knowelege and prices

this is day one of setup

i made the canopy and the stand myself(tryn to keep the budget low with as much DIY as i can). got like 15lbs of live rock, and 60lbs of sand. im running an marineland emperor 400 for filter, with a seeded bio-wheel. also running a nano 425 powerhead (will be also adding a 800 powerhead).

    as of today

added another 10lbs of live rock, nice peices to give more caves, i still wanna add another 20lbs to the left side of the tank, i wanna build that side up, i think it will look good. i also have the tanks first occupants. 4 blue green chromis. they were in there a week before i added this live rock. the tank has been cycling for about 4 weeks and its on its last leg. im excited to start adding some bight and colorful fish to this tank. i hope you all enjoy and ill be adding updates as the tank progresses.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Very nice, pretty impressive stand and canopy. Sounds like you have a good idea of how to preceed and the basics of starting a new system, it is exciting isn't ?

Looking forward to seeing the progress of your systems.;D

congrats on your cycle finishing. tank is coming along nicely. will you be getting your CUC next? remember if youre gonna be adding more LR , do it in small batches so you dont get another cycle going. a mini will be ok.
