Just wanted to give people thinking about using PE Mysis. I have never rinsed my frozen food before feeding. However, after my skimmer still giving me fits after 3 hours, I will never go without rinsing their mysis.

P.S. The mysis shrimp are huge.

Ya I finally bought mysis shrimp and they are HUGE for my clowns. So I placed some in they barely could get a hold of it since they are little still. Gman had no issue since he drags snails bigger than the shrimp into his burrow. I do, however, cut it up while frozen to make it easier for the clowns to eat it and they do. :)

I am a huge fan of their mysis also, but it has to be rinsed. It has so much Phosphate in it, it is staggering. Just feeding this un-rinsed has caused a 1 point jump in PO4, in just a few days time in the past for me.

I will be doing a 15G WC on my 75 tomorrow just to try to prevent that. I fed all of my coral, so I used 6 cubes. I never had to rinse Sally's Mysis before. When it was thawed, I noticed how discolored the water was, but thought nothing of it.

Yeah, it can be really bad. When I was feeding it daily and not testing PO4 (I know I know) I had the PO4 hit 5.8... yes 5.8... lol everything basically died.. it was a horrible experience, BUT I learned you have to rinse everything..

I've never rinsed any frozen food...how should I do this? Do I want to filter out all of the liquid that would normally melt?
