I got this peppermint shrimp on thursday, and it was hanging out behind a rock for about 6 hours, then when i woke up the next morning he was gone...and i was up till about 2am last night and he never came out to kill aipstasia, is this normal for them not to come out like this?

I acclimated him by floating him for about an hour n a half, and after he was done floating i opened the bag and while he was still floating, i poured half a cup of my water into the bag every 5-10 mins. for about 30 mins...then i let him lose.

how big is the tank? usually they just hide to get used to everything may be up to a couple of days. those shrimps do better in pairs of 2 or 3 though maybe that might help him come out? he could also be molting
